They're almost here!

We are a small European Maine Coon cattery (TICA certified) located in New Jersey. My focus is on the preservation of the breed, ensuring that each and every cat we breed exemplifies the true characteristics of a Maine Coon - from their distinctive physical attributes to their friendly and affectionate personalities. We are deeply passionate about Maine Coons and it is our goal to produce healthy and well-tempered cats that will make loving and devoted companions for their new families. Our breeding program is small, allowing me to give each and every one of our cats the individual care and attention they need to thrive. We are dedicated to producing cats that are not only beautiful, but also have the temperament and health that the Maine Coon breed is renowned for. We take great pride in our cats and the love and care that goes into each and every one of them.

We are Jared and Joanna Riebe. Allow us to share with you the story of how it all began.

Our journey started back in 2016 when we first met and fell in love. Prior to this, I had adopted a domestic long-haired cat named Thurston from the Pet Store I managed. Despite being told he was a mix of Maine Coon, I was smitten with his affectionate and outgoing personality that reminded me of my grandmother's gorgeous Maine Coon, Shadow.

To my surprise, Jared, fell head over heels in love with Thurston. Now, Jared is a true aficionado of creatures great and small, but there was an undeniable connection he forged instantly with Thurston. Although his background had limited encounters with cats aside from his Katie, he had always been a dog lover. Nevertheless, that was a story of the past, for he was soon to be  a cat lover. Our buddy brought us immense joy and comfort during trying times and was a constant source of happiness in our lives. 

Sadly, we lost Thurston in 2018, leaving us heartbroken.

Ever since my grandmother, I had always yearned for a Maine Coon of my own. I shared this dream with Jared, and he was fully supportive. In 2020, our adventure finally began. After mourning the loss of Thurston and conducting thorough research, I stumbled upon a black kitten with enormous bat-like ears. He reminded me of Batty from Fern Gully, and I knew he was the one.

Nazgûl, formerly known as Eddie, made his journey home to us, and we were eager to bring him into our lives. We were determined to select the best quality breeder for our Maine Coon, and Nazgûl was the perfect choice. After much consideration, we also welcomed Moria, formerly known as Madeline, into our lives as our female companion. Jared and I are both avid fans of the legendary author, J.R.R Tolkien, and his masterpieces, not to mention the film adaptations. Our enthusiasm for his works extends beyond reading and watching; we have even named our cats after some of his famous characters. It's safe to say that our passion for Middle-earth is not just a mere interest, but a full-blown obsession.

Now, we embark on a breeding adventure, fulfilling our dream of breeding Maine Coons!
